It is a really great discussion about design and looking at the real data that should drive the project.  And how extremely logical design can be used to create interesting and useful buildings.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a random piece of history that I picked up in Slate today: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slate.com\/id\/2177109\/nav\/ais\/\">A Brief History of the Toothpick<\/a>. I know what you&#8217;re thinking, why would I ever want to know the history of the toothpick? I would counter, you never know when the you&#8217;ll need to know the history of the toothpick, so why not learn it now and be prepared.  I would encourage you to watch other talks if you can, <\/p>\n<p>Finish with not-so-new news, Apple&#8217;s OS X is still better than Microsoft&#8217;s Windows, even after Vista was released.  Slate has an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slate.com\/id\/2177073\/nav\/tap3\/\">article<\/a> to lay out all the reasons.  And now that the new OS is out, I&#8217;m electronic year-end bonus deposit away from ordering it.
